Mastitis
I have had mastitis for the last couple of weeks. I am having troubles with persistent milk blisters/blebs, which just won't heal. As soon as one appears to be on the mend, another appears. I had a couple of them with Bear, but not the persistent ones like this. They cause my milk ducts to become blocked, which makes them ripe for infection. As an adding side bonus, they are excrutiating to feed through, but feeding is the only way to clear the blockages.
I have seen my GP, an ABA counsellor, the child health nurse (who is also a lactation consultant) and another lactation consultant. No answers, no solutions. All I get is a lot of praise for my persistence, which, while nice, is not particularly practical in terms of assistance.
So, I continue to grit my teeth and push through.
