Invalid

I have my period.  The last time I had a period was August, 2009 (ie before I got pregnant).

I cannot believe the amount of pain I am in right now.  I feel like I have been kicked in the crotch.

On top of my current backpain, I feel like an invalid.

Speaking of invalids, I drove an automatic car for the first time today.  It was really weird to not have a clutch.  I had to keep reminding myself that the car wasn't going to stall (because it couldn't).  It felt like I was driving a car designed for the intellectually impaired.

I have decided that the kind of people who drive automatic cars are the same kind of people who buy shake'n'bake pancake mix.

My mother (proud owner of aforementioned vehicle) does not like my assessment.

  1. Total sympathy - Canadians don't seem to know that manual cars exist. This means that Matt and I are constantly having our left legs shoot out to find the clutch when ever we hire a car over here. It is disconcerting. It can also mean you stop braking for a corner because you can't find the clutch and don't want to stall - bad decision making!

I like your assessment re: shake pancakes. I see why your Mum would not. The question is - has she tried shake pancakes? Because if she hasn't, perhaps it is only a matter of time before she does...
