Last Thursday marked the magical six week mark. And, on cue, as if to spite me, I have been struck down with terrible morning sickness. I woke up on Thursday morning at 2am. The world was spinning and I felt violently ill.
After a vomit, a decaf tea and a piece of Anzac slice to settle my stomach, I couldn't get back to sleep, so I spent the rest of the wee hours dizzy and off-colour.
Since then, I haven't had a break. The Earth spins at about 460m/s, and at the moment, I am feeling every one of them.
It is almost like the little cluster of cells is saying, "You want proof that I am holding on in here? Well, here, cop this!"
I have also had Bear's cold, so have been snotty and vomitty, and nauseated. Not a wonderful combination.
Yea! Worse than with bear? Maybe a girl!!!
ReplyDeleteI have no tips on morning sickness, but I swear by snorting salt water for the cold. I'll even do it next time I get sick while not preggers, salt water is gods own elixir.
So so so pleased to hear you are feeling poorly. As soon as you reach 8 weeks make up an excuse to get a scan to check for heart beat.
Next time I get preggers I am telling them I have no idea of my dates so they have to give me an early scan. The fuckers. Midwives excluded, just hate the fuckibg drs.
